This model is quite special because it combines a classic look with the features of a sporty watch.
It’s classic thanks to the strap, which is similar to the ones used in the Presage line — pure dress watches — and also because of the fluted bezel, which gives it a distinctive shine and elegant appearance.
The watch also includes an aviation complication — the rotary slide rule bezel, which allows you to perform complex mathematical calculations without a calculator.
At the same time, it’s an excellent diver’s watch, with 100 meters of water resistance and an additional safety clasp on the buckle for underwater security.
It runs on the 4R35 movement, a reliable and well-known caliber found in many Seiko models. It features 23 jewels, supports both manual and automatic winding, and has a power reserve of around 41 hours.
The transparent caseback lets you admire the movement anytime, and I personally love the touch of red on the bezel and the seconds hand — it adds a sporty flair to the design.
Although the case is 44 mm, it fits most wrist sizes comfortably because it’s not too thick — it has strong wrist presence without looking bulky.
This watch is perfect for collectors, thanks to its unique function, and also for beginners, since it offers excellent value for the price.
